Roma Gry perform at the BCNU Annual Dinner – May 13, 2010
In celebration of National Nursing Week (May 10 – 16, 2010), medical professionals and governments all across Canada held events to honour the contributions of nurses to the well-being of Canadians.
Roma Gry Show was invited to perform at the British Columbia Nurses’ Union (BCNU) Annual Dinner at the Meadow Gardens Golf Club to celebrate the culmination of the series of celebrations.
The performance was very well received as the medical professionals, their friends and the general public feasted their eyes on what for many of them was their first gypsy performance. The colourful costumes and energetic vibes captivated the audience: after the program, Roma Gry performers were held back on stage by a stampede of photo requests.

“In 1971, the International Council of Nurses designated May 12 – Florence Nightingale’s birthday – as International Nurses Day. In 1985, in recognition of the dedication and achievements of the nursing profession, the Canadian health minister proclaimed the second week of May as National Nursing Week in Canada.” (Canadian Nurses Association.
